Filth and depravity

Just been checking up on my sitemeter stats and I'm always interested to see how people find this blog.

Someone even got here by typing 'Anne-Marie' and 'Boob' into Google.

Hands up. Which one of you filthy bastards was it?

Not me, I'm afraid. Found your blog through another one, which I cannot recall now, sorry.

I had ovarian cancer 3 years ago, and then a bowel metastasis, which was treated with a second look surgery and now medicine. Have been on a health leave for 1 year already and, honestly, I feel great (apart from a f***ing bloody depression, but that's another story).

Don't know how you feel about exchanging experiences and feelings, but if you want to talk to someone who has been bald and all the etc's caused by chemo, just drop me a line.

Big strong hug from southern Brazil :)

Hello Helo (do you get that a lot?)

Thanks for your comments. It sounds like you've been through the mill far more than I have. No wonder if you're a little down from time to time.

One thing which keeps striking me is just how vast cancer is. How many forms it takes. How many lives it affects and how deeply it affects them.

This whole photography idea was welcomed by someone at Macmillan yesterday - we're due to talk about deveoping it further - but essentially for me all I hope to get out of it is to be able to give some sort of tribute to the help I had, as thousands of others also have, from the people that help us through this sort of stuff.

And I left a few names off the list. All of you lot, friends and strangers alike, who comment and care.

Thanks x
